This business needs to be up and running again in 3 days. Description of task The Alameida Video club had some problems and difficulties with their current system. This business needs to be up and running again in 3 days because of the amount of money loss due to being a main Video shop in Gibraltar. The services which they provide are PC, Game Cube, PS2 and Xbox games as well as DVDs and Video rentals. I have been observing people whilst they use their existing system and I have seen†¦show more content†¦A database is information which is kept in tables or can consist of several tables. A table is made up of records and each item of information in a record is known as a field. Queries can be setup, so you can search the database for certain information which might be most needed, or which might be helpful when using the computer system. I think that all of the problems listed above are important and need to be solved straight away. I have had some problems in getting a Questionnaire into action so I decided to interview one of the Head Sale Rep which uses the system. Interview I have shortened the interview to the main points Me: How long does it take to input a rental made by a customer into the system? User: It takes from 3to 4 minutes, which eventually creates big queues Me: Is the system user friendly? User: If you have experience, it will be easy but I still get very confused when using it because of the disorganised design and template. Me: Does the system fail on you sometimes?
